Transafix Nasal Strip

The use of nasal and gastric probes is a frequent procedure in hospitals. The probe runs into the patient’s stomach through their nose. Therefore, the probe has to be safely secured onto the patient’s nasal bridge. Our Transafix Nasal Fixing System offers a perfect solution.

The set consists of two parts, the nasal clip, available in skin colored fleece or hydrocolloid, and the nasal strip.

The components are connected via a secure Velcro fastener. This way, when exchanging the nasal or gastric probe, only the stripe has to be removed; the nasal clip can stay on the nose for up to 3-5 days. This reduces skin irritations and infections and prevents a complex follow-up care.

While both materials, the fleece and hydrocolloid, are very well tolerated by the skin, hydrocolloid is especially recommended for sensitive skin.

The clips and strips are available in a handy dispenser of 25 pieces each. Therefore, the product can be adjusted individually to the needs of each patient.
