Customer interview about Transaflow® Multi-Patient-Systems

Our 12-hour Multi-APS system is used by around 200 satisfied users in German clinics and practices. We spoke to Frank Rudolph about the advantages of the Transaflow® multi-patient systems.

Why did you decide in favour of our system and its simple handling?

FR: "The drip protection in particular caught my attention in the description. Another decisive factor for us was that the system fits all our different injector types."

Why is multiple use up to 12 hours important to you?

FR: "Because we carry out a large number of dynamic measurements in our practices and clinics, which usually require the injector systems to be distributed throughout the day."

Our 12-hour system consists of a 12-hour syringe and a 12-hour KM application system. Both are therefore certified and can be used multiple times. What advantages does this offer you?

FR: "We make ourselves independent of the injector manufacturers' consumables and fulfil the hygiene requirements at the same time."

Why do you prefer manufacturer-independent systems for contrast agent application?

FR: "They are generally cheaper. As we operate injectors from different manufacturers, this also makes logistics easier, as we only need one application system."

What do you like best about our system?

FR: "That the application system fits all our different injector types and runs smoothly. Simple handling."

Our system is closed, does not stick and does not drip. It has a self-sealing adapter. What exactly does that mean for you? What do you like about it? And what about safety and hygiene?

FR: "This helps with clean working, as the drip protection works very well. However, you have to make sure that a patient hose is connected when flushing the line, otherwise you will destroy the drip protection. Everyone is familiar with sticky floors under injectors; this is a thing of the past at our Multi-APS system locations."

The 12-hour Multi-APS systems are manufactured 100% in clean room production in Germany. Did this influence your decision?

FR: "It didn't influence me, but I think it's great. More importantly, we were able to vary the hose lengths of the system according to our wishes, keyword: piston spacing. That was great cinema."
