CuddleBlanket - The cooling blanket

CuddleBlanket with flexible cooling mat for laying out the deceased

The culture of laying out the deceased at home for a dignified farewell without time pressure goes back a long way. For relatives, these last quiet moments together are important in the grieving process. The mobile cooling system with flexible cooling mat makes it possible to revive this culture. Thanks to the CuddleBlanket, the deceased is cooled inconspicuously, making it reverent for the relatives. The deceased lies under the blanket and the flexible cooling mat, which keeps them reliably cool regardless of the outside temperature and the temperature in the room. There is no risk of the body freezing.

APPLICATION IN 4 SIMPLE STEPS

  1. The flexible cooling mat is placed on the deceased
  2. The deceased is covered with the insulating blanket (which is covered with a normal duvet cover)
  3. The device is then connected to any power socket and switched on with a simple push of a button
  4. The cooling mat is connected to the device with a click using the two hoses

The CuddleBlanket is designed to cool down to 8 degrees. If desired, it can also be switched off to say goodbye, as the cooling lasts for a long time thanks to the low temperature and the insulating blanket. Relatives have enough time to say their goodbyes in a room at a comfortable temperature in a domestic environment. The mobile cooling systems give time, as the deceased is reliably cooled even when the outside temperature is warm, ensuring a peaceful farewell.

The CuddleBlanket therefore contributes to a hospice core time for use in hospices. Relatives are often unaware that the option of laying the body out at home exists. According to the users, the reaction from relatives to the offer of a home laying service is extremely positive and grateful.

TRADITIONAL

There is a long tradition of laying out the body at home and taking time to say goodbye. The CuddleBlanket helps to revive this tradition.

DIGNIFICANT

The alternative of lying in state at home allows relatives to say goodbye to the deceased in peace and with dignity. Grief psychology studies (e.g. Lehmann et al.) prove that an open laying-out is appropriate. Holding hands one last time, saying a few last words and consciously recognising the farewell is perceived very positively by the relatives when coping with grief.

SIMPLE

The CuddleBlanket is easy to use and transport. Thanks to the castors, it is easy to transport and ready for use in less than 2 minutes. The weight of the cooling system is only 10.5 kg, including the included accessories.
