With PEG tubes, there is a risk that they may be removed unintentionally due to mobility or that excessive traction may occur, which can cause inflammation. This is why they are often fixed in place with a simple suture and an additional tape Plaster. With our PEG Set No. 10, we have developed a complete solution that avoids this and is extremely comfortable for the patient.
The set consists of a drainage dressing, a fixation plaster, 4 gauze dressings and a Transafix Fixing Strap No. 2.
The additional fixation of the PEG tube with our Transafix No. 2 prevents it from slipping into the genital area and thus reduces the risk of inflammation. The Velcro tab can be opened and closed several times a day so that the tube can be released from the fixation if necessary and then securely fixed again.
Thanks to the skin-friendly Transafix Fixing Strap No. 2 and the fixation plaster, the PEG set can be worn for up to 7 days without skin irritation.
We only use high-quality VELCRO® brand hook and loop fasteners in our Transafix products.
