Bladder catheters are used in a wide variety of medical conditions. Discreet use and unrestricted patient mobility are important for medical and practical reasons. It is therefore particularly important to be able to fix the catheter in such a way that it is both firmly attached to the body and can still adapt to the patient's movements. Our Transafix Fixing Strap No. 3 offers a perfect solution for this.
The basic carrier for the Velcro strip is the Transpore Carrier Patch. A Velcro fastener is integrated into this, with which the catheter can be fixed in place.
The catheter can either move freely in the Velcro flap so that only the track is defined, or it can be fixed rigidly by removing the Protective Cover between the fleece side and the hook side of the Velcro fastener, thus exposing an adhesive layer. The Velcro flap can be opened and closed as often as required, which means that the Fixing Strap does not need to be replaced when the catheter is changed.
The Plaster is breathable and gentle on the skin and can be applied to sensitive skin for longer periods of time. It is adaptable and has a strong hold, but can also be removed without leaving any residue.
We only use high-quality VELCRO® brand hook and loop fasteners in our Transafix products.
You can obtain all packaging units from your pharmacy, quoting the pharmaceutical central number (PZN).
